Musical Theatre: If you didn't want to be part of it, you wouldn't be reading this. From Chicago, Les Miserables, Evita, Cats, Carousel to Woman in White, Avenue Q and Wicked...fabulous charactors, thrilling dance routines, emotional highs, it makes musical theatre spectacular, energetic, alive and believable both for the performer and the audience.
This intensive six-day course will give you an invaluable grounding in musical theatre skills-based training. You will work with a leading musical theatre director, choreographer and vocal coaches who also regularly teach at world-leading UK institutions e.g. ArtsEd, RADA and GSA Conservatoire. They will enable you to develop your performance abilities and the techniques of working creatively in groups.
During the week you will work in the ensemble on some of the most exciting and dynamic scenes and numbers from well-known musicals. At the end of the course you will showcase your solo and ensemble skills in a final performance in front of an invited audience.
The course is strictly limited to a maximum course intake of 16 students. In addition to full company classes, singing and dancing in groups of 4 will be timetabled daily for maximum contact time with staff. A high level of commitment is expected from students.
